Dress Code

In an effort to encourage a spirit of unity amongst our students, and the understanding that we are a family, students will be required to follow a specific dress code. Our school colors are Heather Denim Blue and Gold. Students are welcome to wear solid colored or striped “heathered denim” blue or navy, “golden” yellow, gray, or white tops, and jeans with no holes or rips, or khaki, gray, or navy bottoms. Pants, skirts, skorts, dresses, or shorts are all acceptable. “Dry fit” material is fine for shorts, as long as they are the “chino” or “dress” style. Basketball shorts will not be permitted. Shorts, dresses, and skorts should be modest (mid-thigh length at the shortest). Denim shorts and jeans should not contain rips, holes, or distressing. Girls should always have shorts under dresses or skirts. They are welcome to wear any Telos school shirts or sweatshirts that they have purchased from the school as well. On Chapel days, girls will need to wear a skirt, skort, or dress of any color, and boys will need to wear dress pants and a button up, collared shirt (Polos are acceptable) of any color. Hoods on heads are not permissible at any time inside of the building. Sweaters and zip up jackets are always acceptable for students to wear if they so choose, and school colors are preferable for these as well. Belts are optional. Students are expected to wear tennis shoes Monday through Wednesday, and dress shoes on Thursdays, as there will not be P.E. Class on Chapel days.

Old Navy has a “Uniform Shop” that is a great, affordable option for most of these items.

Facial Hair is not permitted on students, nor are eyebrow, lip, septum, or tongue piercings. No visible tattoos are allowed on students. Hair should be neatly groomed, and natural colors are acceptable. Please limit makeup usage in students to natural and accentuating purposes, not to distract others. Jewelry should not cause disruption to learning, so please use parental discretion.
